Visible Mending Jeans

These jeans are very special to me, as they are the last pair that I ever bought, just before I decided to only wear what I make. Apart from their special significance, they are not that brilliant, and have worn into holes all over.

I’ve already put plenty of patches on these, but do I really like the hems. I bound the edges with all my odd scraps of embroidery floss, which gave a nice edge and also used up a wasted tangle of thread. Where the fabric had worn into holes above above the hem, I added a patch at the back and fixed it with running stitches.
